Idris Elba has announced that filming for the fourth series of Luther has finished.

The British actor celebrated the shoot in style by embarking on his signature walk before starting to strip on his way down a London street.

Luther returns with two brand new episodes in the autumn on BBC One.

Elba's DCI John Luther will be "pitted against his most chilling adversary yet, haunted by the ghosts of his past and hell-bent on retribution" in the fourth run.

Rose Leslie, Laura Haddock and Darren Boyd will be among the stars to appear in the two-parter.

Michael Smiley (Benny Silver) and Dermot Crowley (DSU Martin Schenk) will also reprise their roles from the series, though the BBC is yet to confirm if Ruth Wilson will be back as Alice Morgan.

Set aside your anxieties about who’ll play the title character in Fox’s proposed U.S. remake of Luther.
For the moment, it’s time to celebrate the fact that BBC America will be bringing back the original, British flavor — played by Idris Elba — for a fourth season, sometime in 2015.
The network announced Wednesday that creator Neil Cross is planning a two-part miniseries continuation of the Emmy-nominated, London-set crime drama — with Elba back in the title role of the morally ambiguous detective.
“Ever since we said goodbye to John Luther on Southwark Bridge, there’s hardly been a minute when I didn’t wonder what happened next,” Cross said in a release. “So I decided to find out. We’re putting the band back together; Luther is coming back where he belongs. Back to the BBC. Back to London. And back to work.”
Fresh Luther episodes will begin shooting in March 2015, with a premiere date later in the year.
On Tuesday, Fox gave a pilot commitment to an American adaptation of the series, with Cross set to write, as well as executive-produce along with Elba, who was not immediately attached to reprise his role stateside.

Hi there! I know I'm like 2 years too late to the game, but I've written a Luther fic that is in need of a beta, and I thought maybe I could find one here. It's Luther/Ripley, about 20k, NC-17. It takes place over the whole 3 seasons, basically it's about how their angsty gay love affair is totally canon. I would love a content beta who can tell me how IC the characters are, how my pacing is, where I'm doing too much telling instead of showing, etc. Also Britpick & SPAG are a plus but not necessary.

*Note* I'm a professional copyeditor, so I can offer you some rocking beta services in exchange for this. I can do SPAG for any fandom, and I can content edit in Luther, Merlin, Sherlock, Harry Potter, Thor, Iron Man, XMen FC, Orphan Black, GoT, Walking Dead, Lost Girl... Just ask and there's a chance I know the show/books. In video games and anime, I'm unfortunately useless in terms of content.

Thank you! And thank you mods for still keeping this forum going!!
